Biography:

Scott Summers, better known as Cyclops, is a foundational character within Marvel's X-Men universe. He is recognized for his optic blasts, described as "LazerBeam", powerful energy beams emitted from his eyes that he cannot control without special eyewear.

Cyclops debuted in *The X-Men* #1 (September 1963). He is a mutant. He is often portrayed as the X-Men's field leader, displaying strong tactical skills and a dedication to Professor X's vision of mutant-human coexistence.

His powers require him to wear ruby-quartz glasses or a visor to contain the energy. The relationship with his teammates, especially Jean Grey and Wolverine, is a core part of his character development, marked by both love and conflict.
